1. Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC)
Popularly known as the MTCC, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre is Canada's leading convention and trade show facility. Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, the MTCC is within walking distance from Toronto’s top attractions, hotels, restaurants, and public transit. It's flexible and has accommodated an array of event types for many years; from large conventions to small meetings. They have seven exhibition halls (442,000 sq ft), 77 meeting rooms (129,900 sq ft), two ballrooms (78,000 sq ft), and a 1,232 seat theatre.

2. Enercare Centre (Direct Energy Centre)
Another great large-scale event venue option is the Enercare Centre (previously known as Direct Energy Centre near Hotel X in Exhibition Place). Enercare Centre is Toronto’s largest continuous space at 358,433 square feet – plenty of room for your next conference, convention or other multi vendor events, accommodating over 12,000 attendees.

3. Globe and Mail Centre
The Globe and Mail Centre offers elegant event spaces with panoramic city and lake views, on top of the new headquarters of the Globe and Mail newspaper. With flexible, purpose-built spaces, they can accommodate up to 400 guests for events ranging from conferences, meetings, product launches, receptions, weddings and private celebrations.

4. Toronto Congress Centre
A leading choice for large-scale events like trade shows and expos of all kinds, the Toronto Congress Centre offers over one million square feet of space between the ballroom and event halls. For seated events like banquets or galas, the venue can host up to 8,500 guests.

5. Beanfield Centre
Beanfield Centre is Canada’s first LEED Silver conference centre, designed for meetings, conventions and galas. Located in the former Automotive Building, this Art Deco masterpiece offers spectacular lakeside views and is connected to Enercare Centre which offers 1 million square feet of exhibition space.

6. Hotel X
If you’re looking for a sustainable event venue, Hotel X in Exhibition Place is a LEED Silver Certified event venue with a whole host of eco-friendly measures in place. Renewable energy systems, hotel-wide composting, green roofs, a rainwater collection program and environmentally conscious building practices are just some of Hotel X’s sustainability features. 60,000 square feet of chic, modern event space doesn’t hurt, either.

7. The One Eighty
The One Eighty is currently undergoing renovations until summer 2022, but watch this space – it’s one of Toronto’s best event venues, especially for entertainment, PR and marketing events, per industry professionals. Located on the 51st floor of the Manulife Centre, the views of the city skyline are great and the atmosphere is refined and modern. Check out The One Eighty when they’re back with a new vibe later this year.

You have your choice of seating--inside or outside, on chairs or on sofas, etc. The furniture and décor are simple and classy. And of course, the view is really something. There's a patio on either side so that you can sit outside and enjoy the view. 8. Evergreen Brickworks
Evergreen Brickworks is a green-designed, community-based heritage site located beside a lush ravine in downtown Toronto. As a Canadian charity and international thought leader, Evergreen transforms public landscapes into thriving community spaces with environmental, social and economic benefits. They have workshops and festivals throughout the year, as well as a garden market, café, community bike space, children’s garden, skating rink on site and much more.

9. Old Mill Toronto
Another rustic heritage building, the Old Mill holds a 200-seat fine dining restaurant, tea garden, wedding chapel and 16 functions rooms with over 20,000 square feet of space to host events. The MaRS Centre has an impressive selection of spaces, from intimate meeting rooms to conference-ready auditoriums. They provide multi-functional, high-tech meeting rooms, 4,700-square-foot auditorium for conferences and exhibitions, 62-foot-high glass atrium for musical performances, receptions and more, 4,500-square-foot concourse for exhibitor space and/or dining staging area, in-house audio-visual services team, as well as local and sustainable catering services
MaRS is a fantastic incubator of leading edge ideas. They host great events there. The facility is well connected to public transit, and it was nice to find ample bicycle parking out front. I've never eaten there, but there is a selection of eateries in the lower level.
