Last week, on December 6th, 2023, PheedLoop proudly hosted the inaugural edition of EventTech Toronto at the iconic The Drake Hotel on Toronto’s lively Queen Street West. This event - the first of many - marked a significant milestone in our journey towards establishing PheedLoop as a true thought leader in the event technology industry. 

EventTech Toronto Overview

EventTech Toronto was envisioned as a platform to bring together thought leaders and senior event professionals to network and discuss the most important challenges impacting the industry. The focus of our first event? Exploring the challenges and opportunities presented by artificial intelligence (AI) to event professionals as we wrap up 2023 and head into the new year. 

We were thrilled to welcome 40 esteemed professionals from the industry, each bringing their unique insights and experiences to the conversation. The event was not just a forum to debate all things AI but also an evening filled with engaging networking opportunities fueled by flavoursome food and delicious drinks.

Highlighting AI and the Events Industry

The core of our discussions revolved around AI's transformative role in event planning, management, and attendee engagement. Speakers and attendees alike shared their perspectives on leveraging AI for more personalized experiences, efficient event management, and data-driven decision-making.

PheedLoop’s in-house AI expert, Mitch Malinsky, ran a workshop titled Practical Applications of Artificial Intelligence for Events which explored the latest breakthroughs in AI technologies paired with an analysis of real-world AI tools that event planners could implement into their event strategies for 2024. Networking Opportunities at EventTech Toronto

One of the highlights of EventTech Toronto was the rich networking environment it fostered. Professionals connected, shared experiences, and brainstormed innovative ways to incorporate AI into their event strategies for 2024. The invitee list was carefully curated to have a solid mix of planners and suppliers from all walks of life in the industry, paving the way for future collaborations and partnerships.
