The entire PheedLoop team is extremely excited to announce the launch of our brand new event website. We have been working endlessly on this for the past several months, and it’s finally ready for our users to try out and see what the hype is all about! The new website is set to be rolling out in the next couple weeks, and is a HUGE step up from our old site. While we’re keeping to the same structure as before, we’ve managed to revamp everything from the different web pages and sections, to graphics and workflows. This way, it’s still the same layout you’re all familiar with, with some major level-ups that you’ll be sure to notice.
What to Expect
Over the next couple weeks, a new button should pop up on your dashboard notifying you that the new event website is available for you to try out. There’s no pressure to switch at the moment, but feel free to test how your event looks on the new site. After you’ve made the switch, go into your event website from your dashboard, and you should be able to see the change. You also have the option to switch back at any moment if you wish to do so.
The first thing you’ll notice is that the design is much more modern and clean. As you scroll through your homepage, you might recognize the same sections you are used to seeing before: header, countdown timer, event description, Speakers, Sponsors, and location, but the main difference will be in the look and feel of these sections. Keeping the UI/UX of our customers in mind, we’ve totally redesigned these sections to give you an awesome site that looks contemporary but professional, and is easy to follow along straight from the get-go!
Just from first glance, you’ll notice that web pages are now full-screen, with end-to-end sections that really emphasize all the important information people need to know. On the homepage especially, you can see that all information related to your event is now front and center and enlarged in a way that makes it really easy to tell exactly what your event is, when it’s happening, and where people can go to register. The header and countdown timer are larger now to really grab peoples’ attention, and there’s an added “Register Now” button in the header that stands out as soon as someone opens your site.
More Customizable Than Ever Before
The new event website is built for powerful and easy theming and customizability. You are still able to add custom pages, custom sections, links, and embed sections, just like before. But what’s new is that you can now customize the style of the website without needing to know CSS by adjusting Theme settings right from your dashboard. So now it’s possible to get more out of your event website without needing to know a single line of code!
What’s also new is that if you do choose to use custom CSS and JavaScript, it’s now easier than ever to do so with our organized CSS class name structure. This helps keep things super organized and allows you to take your event website to a whole new level with your own custom CSS and JavaScript.
Robust Translation and Accessibility Capabilities
With our wide range of multi-language support systems, PheedLoop has been leading the pack over the past few years when it comes to accessibility and multi-language events. It’s no surprise that one of our biggest improvements to the event website is more translation capabilities. We now support 16+ different languages in both the virtual portal and new event website. These include English, French, German, Chinese, Arabic, Afrikaans, Danish, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, Turkish, and Ukrainian.
These translations are going to be more robust and capable of translating anything and everything on your page. While on the old website, these translations were selective and could only translate certain words or phrases, these new translation options can now translate your entire page without any issues and within seconds. It’s very quick and easy to do with just the click of a button from the bottom-right corner of your website page.
It’s also important to note that our event website is WCAG 2.1 AA and AODA compliant right out of the box. It’s always been a priority of ours to make sure our products are accessible to all, so keeping that in mind, we want to make sure that there aren’t any accessibility barriers and that it’s only getting better from here on out.
Schedule, Speakers, Sponsors, Exhibitors, Floor Plans and More!
Let’s talk about other pages on the new website. All the pages have been completely revamped, following a similar style and theme which you still have the option to customize even further if you wish to do so. You might notice that larger pages, such as the Schedule page, load much faster than before. So be sure to check out the new look and loading speed for your new website’s Schedule, Speakers, Sponsors, Exhibitors, Floor Plans and more.
The registration page is the only remaining page that is still in progress. For now, it’s been embedded into the new site from the old website, but you can look forward to a very exciting update to registration coming very soon!
